Custom recommendations

The Custom recommendations section in Visidea allows you to manually override the AI-generated product recommendations for any product in your catalog. This feature is useful when you want to promote specific products, create curated bundles, or ensure certain items are always recommended together.

Overview​

On the Custom recommendations page, you can:

  • View all personalized recommendations you have set up
  • Add new custom recommendations for any product
  • Edit or delete existing recommendations

This gives you full control over which products are suggested to your customers, regardless of the AI's automatic suggestions.

List of custom recommendations​

The main list displays all products for which you have set up custom recommendations. For each entry, you can see:

  • The product being customized
  • The list of recommended products
  • Actions to edit or delete the recommendation

How to add a custom recommendation​

  1. Click the Add recommendations button.
  2. In the top pane, search for and select the product for which you want to override the recommendations.
  3. In the bottom pane, search for and select one or more products you want to recommend instead.
  4. Click the Create button to save your custom recommendation.

Your custom recommendations will now appear for the selected product, replacing the AI suggestions.

How to edit a custom recommendation​

  1. In the list, click the cog icon next to the recommendation you want to change.
  2. Update the product or the recommended products as needed.
  3. Click the Update button to save your changes.

How to delete a custom recommendation​

  1. In the list, click the trash icon next to the recommendation you want to remove.
  2. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

The recommendation will be removed, and the AI will resume suggesting products for that item.

Tips:

  • Use custom recommendations to promote new arrivals, bestsellers, or related accessories.
  • Regularly review and update your custom recommendations to keep them relevant.
  • If no custom recommendation is set, Visidea will automatically use AI-based suggestions.
