Segments
The Segments section in Visidea allows you to group your users based on shared characteristics, behaviors, or purchase history. Segmentation helps you target specific audiences for marketing, personalization, and analytics.
Main Features
- Search Bar: Quickly find existing segments by searching for segment names.
- Segment List: View all current segments in a table. Each segment can be edited, exported, or deleted using the actions menu.
- Add Segment: Click the ADD SEGMENT button to create a new user segment.
Creating a Segment
When adding a new segment, you can configure:
- Name: The name of the segment (e.g., "VIP", "Primo Acquisto").
- Conditions: Define one or more criteria that users must meet to be included in the segment. For each criterion, you can set:
- Field: Choose a user, product, or behavioral attribute (e.g., Age, Gender, Location, Viewed product, Purchased product, Total purchase value, etc.).
- Condition: Select a comparison (e.g.

). - Value: Enter the value(s) to match (e.g., "man" for gender, a product name, a purchase value, etc.).
- Selector: Choose whether users must match All or Any of the conditions.
Click SAVE to create the segment. The segment will be available for targeting and analysis.
Example Workflow
- Click ADD SEGMENT to start a new segment.
- Enter a name for the segment.
- Add one or more criteria (e.g., users who have purchased a specific product, are in a certain age range, or have abandoned a cart).
- Choose whether all or any criteria must be met.
- Click SAVE to activate the segment.
Tips
- Use segments to target marketing campaigns, personalize recommendations, or analyze user behavior.
- Combine multiple criteria for more precise segmentation.
- Regularly review and update your segments to keep them relevant.
